WE HAVE NO PAID OPPORTUNITIES AT THIS TIME, HOWEVER WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: 

Education and Community Workshops:

Assist us with educating community groups and others about various topics related to chronic illness, including the realities of living with chronic disease, caregiving, prevention, coping, etc. Some health background and public speaking experience is preferred. In person workshops are provided in Phoenix, AZ area. Online workshops are provided across the country.

Patient Peer Support and Assistance

Use your experience with chronic illness to assist others by providing support and help them obtain resources and navigate the healthcare system.

Patient Speaker's Bureau:

Assist us with building compassion for chronic illlness by sharing your story to doctors, community groups, and others as part of our patient speaker's bureau. Personal experience as a patient with a misunderstood chronic illness is a must (obviously) as is  comfort with and ability to talk to groups. (If you're not yet comfortable, we can help you develop this!)

Resources Directory:

Assist with putting together a comprehensive directory of chronic illness services, including support groups, organizations, specialists, etc.  This involves basic internet research, the ability to organize information and possibly making some phone calls to obtain current information about the services, making sure they are up to date. This directory will eventually be made available both online and in print to patients across the country.  It will be a huge collaborative undertaking by more than one person.  If you like internet research and fact finding, this is a great opportunity for you to get involved!

Advertising/Fundraising/Public Relations:

Help get the word out about our group by writing press releases, contacting media, speaking to groups, locating advertising space, fundraising, and marketing.

Desktop Publishing/Marketing Materials:

Do you have a flair for design? Can you develop professional looking websites, brochures, flyers, etc? If so, we'd like to hear from you.  We are looking for someone to develop various marketing materials to establish our presence as a professional organization.  If you're just starting out as a designer or have experience, this will be a great addition to your portfolio.
